Personal Project - Staff

Started concepting a staff for my 200+ hour personal project, (full concept isn't even fully finished, still throwing ideas around lol), and ended up deciding that what I made is going to be the final staff. The only thing missing from it at the moment is the texture (obviously) and a few ribbons at the end, which I will animate.

Catman Animation

Just a dumb little animation I did for no particular reason. I modelled and rigged this model for a game project we're doing at school, but I did the animation just because I had some free time. Didn't really put much effort into the animation, really. The texture isn't final either, there's no way we're gonna use this in game.

Environment Exercise - WIP

Just had to see what we could create with one single texture and some low poly assets. I created a forest in Unreal Engine 4, with some unique assets to make it cool (lol nope); the gypsy caravans and the campfire. This isn't the currrent environment, the current one actually has proper terrain and a texture for it too, but I don't have a more recent pic.

Natalie Portman Study

Just another study I've been working on. Took a bit longer, but the results are better. Almost no difference between the original and the study. I'm happy that my skill is improving. Soon there will be more game stuff coming instead of boring old studies, because schoolwork is a thing which I have to do.

Schoolwork

Been doing a lot of environment art, and I am creating a crappy
forest in Unreal Engine 4. Basically had to see how much we can make with just one texture, so yeah. WIP.

Dwight

Did a dumb drawing which isn't quite a study. Goes to show how much my studies have paid off (i.e ZERO). But nah, didn't really warm up or anything, but I felt like I had to draw something today, just to keep the art stuff going. I've been working on thumbnails and concepts and getting ideas out for a big project, because apparently I have to work on something for a minimum of 200 hours //ASIDE// from my schoolwork. So yeah, those thumbnails and concepts will be up soon, but for now, a crappy drawing of Rainn Wilson as Dwight from The Office.

Jeff Bridges Study

Just another (attempted, but not finished in a day) daily study, this time of Jeff Bridges. Decided to add some colour since I don't usually do colour studies, which I should do more often. To complete the piece, a quote from The Big Lebowski:

"That rug really tied the room together."

Female Study

Attempted to do this study in an hour, only got the face done. Took too long to finish the rest, but I am happy with the result.

Snow

Haven't posted anything for ages, been away on holiday. Gotta get back into the swing of things, so I did a quick thingo which stemmed from an idea I had while on holidays. Will start posting more stuff again soon. Kinda a rough thing, didn't want to refine it too much, plus I was also just lazy. First piece for 2015 though, woo!
